As a Group, Cordlife has released a total of 36 cord blood units. Our proven track record for release is the ultimate validation of our processing and storage methods.
In January 2011, Cordlife became the only private cord blood bank in Hong Kong to have released a cord blood unit for autologous (with one's own stem cells) transplantation to aid the treatment of neuroblastoma. The transplant that took place in Queen Mary Hospital, was performed using a cord blood unit that was cryopreserved in our Hong Kong facility for 29 months. In May 2015, Cordlife Hong Kong released another client's cord blood unit for the treatment of his sister who was a Thalassemia Major patient. His cord blood unit had been stored at Cordlife for 2.5 years before being released to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment. After the transplantation, the little girl has since recovered and is now living a normal life, expecting to start school in September 2016.
Our proven track record for release is the ultimate validation of our processing and storage methods.
